The Glories of Writing

Good morning world!

I recently went back to an older project I almost forgot about. I wrote it two years ago and set it aside because I didn’t have the perfect ending for it at the time. I’m a little fuzzy about why I never went back to finish it, but I’m actually glad I didn’t. Going back to it now gave me the inspiration to come up with a great ending. I’ll have to change a few things to make it work, but it will all be for the best.

This new/old work in progress is closer to the science-fiction, action side of things–much like most of my projects. We’ll follow an eighteen year old girl as she’s kidnapped, forced to be an experiment in a madman’s demented plans, and it will all lead to an ending that will bring about a series. I obviously can’t give away too much since this one is so fresh.

Also, on a side note, I finally got on Twitter. After all these years, someone talked me into it. I use it solely for my writing and to connect with other authors. Feel free to follow me @TRJustus11 and have a great day!

The Human Race

It’s been four years since I released my first book and I still have to pinch myself on occasion just so I know it’s real. I love knowing my work is out there for the world to enjoy and I’ll continue to send my babies out there.

You can download your very own copy of The Human Race for Kindle today for .99 cents. And don’t forget to check out the other two books in this YA apocalyptic trilogy.

Happy reading!

The Human Race

I feel like it’s time to do a little book promoting tonight. This was the very first series I published and I still can’t believe I took that leap and put this one out there. It’s a surreal feeling knowing that more than just my family can read something I’ve poured my heart and soul into. It’s an awesome feeling!

So, if you’re into zombies, vampires, and an apocalyptic adventure trilogy, then snag this series and get lost in the story. You’ll follow Bridget on her journey to survival and madness. She faces death on so many occasions, yet walks away with a brave face and the determination to keep on going. Is there love? Yes. Is there sadness? Of course. Is there a happy ending? I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Download or buy a print copy of the series by clicking the links below and don’t forget to leave a review.

Happy reading!

It was but a dream…

I had the strangest dream last night. It was heart-racing and romantic at the same time and I remember a good chunk of it which makes it all the more worthwhile.

Lately, I’ve been working on a few different projects at the same time. Needless to say, my mind is a bit frazzled and overstuffed with the usual weirdness that needs to spill out. I think a few of my story ideas meshed together while I slept to create a large masterpiece of a chaotic disaster. My mind took bits of Eternity mixed it with chunks of a science-fiction novel I don’t have titled yet and also threw in a dash of my young adult trilogy, The Human Race.

I don’t exactly know why my mind opted for this random array of my writings, but I’m not complaining. Despite the randomness of my dream, it inspired me to change up my science-fiction novel that I’ve been working on for the last two years. I think I might finally have the perfect storyline that will add the perfect amount of suspense to my characters’ lives.

Dreams are definitely a point of inspiration for many writers and I am proud to be one of them. I’m just glad I can remember them most of the time.

A New Inspiration!

Well my imaginary friends paid me a visit recently and have inspired me to start yet another project. I have the tendency to start writing about a half dozen stories and work on each one whenever I get the chance. I feel pretty good about each one too.

This new one is slightly different than the normal craziness I have been known to think of. It’s less of the zombie/vampire/crazy stalker genre and more of the coming of age type for young adults. I’ve only got about 3,000 words in and my intention is to not let this one fall into the pile of unfinished ideas that are stacking up on my computer. One day, maybe they’ll all be finished, but it takes time. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Back again!

I woke up this morning and realized that it’s been a long time since I’ve ranted about anything on my blog. I guess I’m struggling with things to say, not that there’s nothing on my mind, because there’s an insane amount of craziness going on up there. I just kept putting it off and putting it off until this very moment right now.

So, this year, I’m going to get back in the groove of things and write more. I’m going to take time each week and update the world on whatever the hell I’m working on. As of right now, I have a number of projects I’ve begun and a few that are finished. One of which is a young adult, dystopian thriller set in the future where the population dwindles above extinction. Just to give you all a taste of what that entails, let’s just say that repopulating the human race is of dire importance so the government goes to great lengths to make sure it survives. That means plucking healthy people of proper breeding age and thrusting them into a life where that is not only necessary but demanded upon by the founders of the facility.

I can’t give away too much, but I will tell you all that I have been sending out queries for this one I’ve titled The Facility. It’s part of a trilogy that I will soon be working on the sequels to.

So, that’s it for the night. My heartfelt rant in a nutshell. See you next time!
