It’s been four years since I released my first book and I still have to pinch myself on occasion just so I know it’s real. I love knowing my work is out there for the world to enjoy and I’ll continue to send my babies out there.

Release of The Main Event: Book 3 of The Human Race

The day has finally come! The third and final book in The Human Race trilogy is out for purchase on Kindle as well as in print.

Bridget’s world is completely shattered. With Ryder gone, she no longer has anything to live for. Trevor has the cure now and with it he plans to rule the world. There is nothing she can do to stop him and the sadness is forcing her to be weak.

Depression is looming inside of her, taking over the very part of her that wants to survive. She finds herself wanting death as her mind goes over every painful memory of the great life she once had. The pain from those memories becomes too much and she wills herself to forget it all.

By forgetting her life, she lets loose the monster that dwells in her unbeating heart. It knows nothing of her past and only plans for the future it needs to survive through.

Release Date for The Main Event

Well, I finally got the proof for The Main Event. I must say that I love how the cover turned out. It has that apocalyptic feel just by looking at it.

Anyway, for an update, I believe the release date for this third and final book in The Human Race trilogy will be next Friday, March 27th. I’m a little sad to see that it has come to an end after three long years of writing this series, but at the same time I’m happy to start working on other projects.

In the meantime, if you haven’t checked out any of my books, feel free to do so. I love getting reviews and any feedback from fellow authors and readers. My amazon page is listed below so you can check out my work.

Thanks in advance and have an awesome day!

Book Review: Z2134

By Sean Platt and David Wright

This is the first book in a series of I believe 3 books. It is an apocalyptic tale which naturally caught my interest right off the bat and it is pretty similar to The Hunger Games, but I still enjoyed the read and will definitely be finishing the series.

It takes place in this city behind a wall that keeps its people safe from zombies. You’d think it would be awesome there, but according to some, the city sucks. There are so many rules and laws and if you disobey them, you get thrown in jail and wind up playing the Darwin Games. Some people create an underground society that goes against all of the city’s rules and helps people escape to a better place.

In the Darwin Games you fight against zombies and other prisoners until the very end and only one can survive to win a trip to the not so fabulous City 7. That’s where we find the Jonah Lovecraft who wins the games at the beginning, goes to what he thinks is this heaven on earth place, only to wind up a prisoner of a man he wronged in the past. Meanwhile, he daughter, Ana, gets into trouble on her own without meaning to and winds up getting a first class trip to play in the games as well. Jonah also has a son, Adam, who is this sweet kid that is kind of a loser in the group home where he lives. He ends up being at the wrong end of someone who tries taking advantage of him and things go really bad really fast for the boy.

I don’t want to give away too much, but I am totally looking forward to the next one in the series.

This book is filled with blood, guts, and gore. I loved how it wasn’t all about the girl finding her true love, although they sort of hint about a crush she has one boy, Liam. There’s action and suspense around every corner. This is truly a keep you on the edge of your seat kind of book. I recommend this to zombie lovers everywhere, just beware of the gory scenes. I’m not sure if die hard fans of The Hunger Games would enjoy it because of how similar it is to that series, but you never know. I loved The Hunger Games and I really enjoyed this read as well.

Anyways, you can pick up or download a copy of Z2134 at the link below.
Happy reading!

The Fighting Chance

The day is finally here! The sequal to The Human Race is now avaiable to download on the kindle as well as purchase in paperback. I’m super excited, as I get with every project I work on and put out there for the world to judge. I can’t wait to hear what people think of this one. My mom, who is the only one who has read it so far, LOVED it. She had to call me just about every day to let me know what she thought about a certain incident and to tell me the parts she got upset over. I know this praise is only coming from my mother, but it still feels wonderful just knowing that another person on the planet appreciates what I’m trying to do for a living.

Anyways, here is the link for amazon to purchase a copy: (it just the link for kindle because it takes a day or two for the hard copy and kindle to link up. Once they do, I’ll add it to the drop down menu on my blog.)

The Fighting Chance Release Date!!

Well, the time has finally come for me to announce the release date of my upcoming novel, the sequel to The Human Race, also known as The Fighting Chance. Wednesday, August 13th (which just so happens to be in just 4 short days) will be the date my book will be available. I already have a line of people waiting for to get their hands on it. If you haven’t already checked out the first book in my vampire/zombie trilogy, go ahead and scope it out. There’s a link to it in the menu drop down on my blog. The kindle version is only .99 cents or you can also purchase a hard copy which is $10.46 on amazon.

For today, I’ll leave you with this little taste of what you’ll find in The Fighting Chance and I’m looking forward to reading more reviews about my work.

A year after making to Des Moines and Bridget has found herself the perfect life. Defending the wall against the zombies during the day and living the cushy life with Ryder at night. She couldn’t ask for anything more. Until a small family ventures to the city seeking refuge and tells the people about the village they came from. Bridget, along with her ragtag team of monster killers, volunteer to find the village in hopes of bringing back more survivors.

But, life on the road is dangerous. Bad things lurk around every corner. Just when they think they find safety under a dark overpass, something unexpected happens.

Bridget stumbles upon something that could change the fate of everything. Something that is so valuable, yet also dangerous if it were to fall into the wrong hands. Fighting to keep it safe is the only option and even that becomes a difficult task to accomplish.

Cover for The Fighting Chance

Well, with the upcoming summer release of The Fighting Chance, sequel to The Human Race, I went ahead and created the cover for it. The design is similar to that of the first book so the covers of the series match and make sense. I’m really happy with it so far and can’t wait until the release date which I think I’m going to move to the end of August since things are going so smoothly. I will, however, give a little description of what you can expect to find out about Bridget’s life in the ever expanding zombie/vampire apocalyptic world.

It’s been a year since they made it to Des Moines. A year since they found safety and happiness. Bridget is still doing what she loves, which involves killing the zombies who dare to step foot near the wall surrounding the city. She’s still making a difference in the survival of the human race and she’s made quite the name for herself by doing so. Survival comes with a price as Bridget, Ryder, and a small team venture beyond the wall in search of more humans. A price Bridget thought she’d never have to pay.

The world beyond the wall is a tough one when you’re fighting off zombies in the sunlight and vampires in the shadows. Bad things can happen when you’re cornered and have nowhere to turn. Maybe things happen for a reason and you find yourself in the midst of something truly amazing or the next worst thing to happen to humanity’s survival. As with every new thing that finds its way to the surface, people are out there waiting to steal it for themselves. And Bridget will be right there defending what belongs to her so she give the world the fighting chance it deserves.

Change of Price

Just wanted to give the world an update about something. I decided to lower the price of the Kindle verson of The Human Race from $2.99 to .99 cents forever! Feel free to check it out and download your very own copy of this apocalyptic thriller. Also, reviews are more than welcome to those who do decide to check out my book. And look for its sequel, The Fighting Chance, either September or October.

Let’s Meet Bridget

Allow me to introduce you to Bridget, the star of my novel The Human Race. She might live in an apocalyptic world, but she sure knows how to make the best of things. There are vampires and zombies lurking around the corners, waiting for her to mess up so they can have a nice snack. Unfortunately for them, she’s really quick on her toes when it comes to killing the zombies. That’s probably her favorite thing to do in the new world. Getting to shoot them in the head, taking her anger out on what has ruined her life in so many ways, gets to be pretty rewarding at times.

The vampires are a different story. She’s not the biggest fan when it comes to killing them, mainly because she has to get a little closer in order to get a good shot. They are really fast and smart and most of the time they can take out a human before they have the chance to react. She’d much rather keep her distance away from those things.

Despite every effort she makes trying to survive and keep those she cares about alive with her, she is forced to live with the pain of losing the people she loves. Until she is completely alone in her travels of trying to find safety and a part of her wants to let the monsters win. But she can’t do that. She’s a survivor and a badass zombie killer who’s in love with a great guy named Ryder. She’s also a nineteen year old girl who just wants one thing out of life.

She wants the human race to survive.
