Book Review, “The Main Event” Book Three of “The Human Race” Trilogy by Tahnee Fritz

Check out this awesome review of The Main Event, posted by the magnificent sbeckmanlowe. I hope the rest of you enjoy it as much as she did!

The Main Event: Book 3 of The Human Race

Since I am currently in the process of formatting and uploading the third installment of my zombie/vampire trilogy, The Main Event, I thought it was about time I show off the description that will be seen on the back cover of the book. I am pretty excited and thrilled with how this one came to an end and at the same time I am a bit sad to see this creation of mine come to an end. However, here is the description. I hope you find it enjoyable.

Bridget’s world is completely shattered. With Ryder gone, she no longer has anything to live for. Trevor has the cure now and with it he plans to rule the world. There is nothing she can do to stop him and the sadness is forcing her to be weak.

Depression is looming inside of her, taking over the very part of her that wants to survive. She finds herself wanting death as her mind goes over every painful memory of the great life she once had. The pain from those memories becomes too much and she wills herself to forget it all.

By forgetting her life, she lets loose the monster that dwells in her unbeating heart. It knows nothing of her past and only plans for the future it needs to survive through.

The Human Race Book 3

I realized that it has been a while since I have given an update on The Human Race trilogym so here it is. As we all know, the first two are out and available to buy in paperback or download on the kindle. I am getting some pretty nice feedback about the both of them and that is just awesome. Fans are simply the best! The link to purchase them is still at the top of my blog page here, so go ahead and check it out to your heart’s content.

The third, and final, book in the series is still in progress. I just crossed over the 50,000 word mark and I always get excited when I make it there on anything I am working on. The title is still going to be The Main Event and it still follows Bridget on her journey through the apocalypse. She is still fighting zombies and vampires, but she also is fighting a much bigger enemy as well. Humans! One in particular and if you’ve read The Fighting Chance (book 2) you’ll know exactly who I am talking about. Of course, I can’t give too much away. I like to be sneaky and mean like that.

My plan for this one is to get the first draft done hopefully by February. Then it will be revised and edited, then revised and edited some more because you can’t have a masterpiece without those two wonderful terms of enjoyment added to the to-do list. I say that with much sarcasm because editing is a pain, as every writer on the planet knows.

Outside of the zombie and vampire realm, I am working on a secret project. I’m hoping that once it is finished and edited to perfection that it won’t stay a secret for long. With that one, I intend to query agents and go through the whole rejection letter process all over again until I find that magic person to grant me the key to traditional publication. Don’t worry, I still plan on doing the independent thing on the side during this journey of mine. It’s just been a dream of mine to see what I’ve created on bookshelves everywhere or even on the big screen. But, I mustn’t get my hopes up yet. I still have plenty of work to do.

Book Three!!

I finally started writing book 3 of The Human Race trilogy. This is the final book in the series, I’m up to 12,000 words, and it is going smoothly. The release date will most likely be for sometime next year, not exactly sure since I’m still so early into writing it. Of course, I plan on letting the world know when the actual date gets closer as I know some people are anticipating it. My only problem now, is coming up with a title. I have one in mind, just unsure if I’m in love with it or not. The first two kind of have that racing/competition theme going for them, so I’ll keep with that same line.

I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day and keep on keeping on!

The Fighting Chance

The day is finally here! The sequal to The Human Race is now avaiable to download on the kindle as well as purchase in paperback. I’m super excited, as I get with every project I work on and put out there for the world to judge. I can’t wait to hear what people think of this one. My mom, who is the only one who has read it so far, LOVED it. She had to call me just about every day to let me know what she thought about a certain incident and to tell me the parts she got upset over. I know this praise is only coming from my mother, but it still feels wonderful just knowing that another person on the planet appreciates what I’m trying to do for a living.

Anyways, here is the link for amazon to purchase a copy: (it just the link for kindle because it takes a day or two for the hard copy and kindle to link up. Once they do, I’ll add it to the drop down menu on my blog.)

The Fighting Chance Release Date!!

Well, the time has finally come for me to announce the release date of my upcoming novel, the sequel to The Human Race, also known as The Fighting Chance. Wednesday, August 13th (which just so happens to be in just 4 short days) will be the date my book will be available. I already have a line of people waiting for to get their hands on it. If you haven’t already checked out the first book in my vampire/zombie trilogy, go ahead and scope it out. There’s a link to it in the menu drop down on my blog. The kindle version is only .99 cents or you can also purchase a hard copy which is $10.46 on amazon.

For today, I’ll leave you with this little taste of what you’ll find in The Fighting Chance and I’m looking forward to reading more reviews about my work.

Got The Proof!!

Yesterday, I finally got the proofs for The Fighting Chance: Book Two of The Human Race. I am super excited about it. The cover looks great and my niece couldn’t be any happier about being Bridget in the picture. I’m having someone read through one copy of it while I do another read through of my own. I am still shooting for a late August release date and will give an exact date when the time gets closer.

Cover for The Fighting Chance

Well, with the upcoming summer release of The Fighting Chance, sequel to The Human Race, I went ahead and created the cover for it. The design is similar to that of the first book so the covers of the series match and make sense. I’m really happy with it so far and can’t wait until the release date which I think I’m going to move to the end of August since things are going so smoothly. I will, however, give a little description of what you can expect to find out about Bridget’s life in the ever expanding zombie/vampire apocalyptic world.

It’s been a year since they made it to Des Moines. A year since they found safety and happiness. Bridget is still doing what she loves, which involves killing the zombies who dare to step foot near the wall surrounding the city. She’s still making a difference in the survival of the human race and she’s made quite the name for herself by doing so. Survival comes with a price as Bridget, Ryder, and a small team venture beyond the wall in search of more humans. A price Bridget thought she’d never have to pay.

The world beyond the wall is a tough one when you’re fighting off zombies in the sunlight and vampires in the shadows. Bad things can happen when you’re cornered and have nowhere to turn. Maybe things happen for a reason and you find yourself in the midst of something truly amazing or the next worst thing to happen to humanity’s survival. As with every new thing that finds its way to the surface, people are out there waiting to steal it for themselves. And Bridget will be right there defending what belongs to her so she give the world the fighting chance it deserves.
